What is an AI Text Humanizer?

An AI text humanizer is a tool that rewrites AI-generated text to sound more naturally human. It works by increasing two signals that AI detectors measure: perplexity (how unpredictable the word choices are) and burstiness (how much sentence length varies). AI writing tends to be uniform and highly predictable — human writing is erratic and varied.

How to humanize AI text

  1. Paste your AI-generated text into the left pane.
  2. Choose a mode: Light for a quick polish,Medium for restructured sentences, orAggressive for a full conversational rewrite.
  3. Click Humanize Text. The first run downloads the AI model — this is a one-time step.
  4. Review the output in the right pane. Paragraphs stream in as they are processed.
  5. Copy the result or clear to start again.

Why does AI text get detected?

Large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) generate text by always picking statistically likely next tokens. This produces text with very low perplexity — each word is highly predictable given the previous words. Humans naturally choose surprising words, use fragments, mix short and long sentences, and repeat themselves in idiosyncratic ways. AI detectors exploit this statistical regularity to flag AI-generated content.

AI Detection — check text before and after

Switch to the Detect AI tab to analyse any text and get an AI likelihood score from 0–100%. Detection runs an on-device AI model (downloaded once and cached) entirely in your browser — your text never leaves the device. Statistical signals (sentence variety, formal transitions, AI phrases, length, vocabulary) are shown as supporting detail.

Use Detect before humanizing to see your baseline score, then humanize and detect again to measure the improvement. Results are indicative and not a substitute for commercial detectors like GPTZero or Turnitin.

Which mode should I use?

  • Light — Best when you want minimal changes. Preserves your original structure and only rewords awkward phrases.
  • Medium — The recommended default. Restructures sentences, varies length, and introduces natural phrasing while keeping the core message intact.
  • Aggressive — Full conversational rewrite. Produces the most human-sounding output but may drift slightly from the original meaning. Best for short passages.

Privacy — your text never leaves your browser

Most online humanizers send your text to a remote API. This tool is different: the humanizer model and the AI detector download once and run entirely inside your browser. No text is ever transmitted. It works offline after the first model download.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the AI text humanizer work?
It uses an AI model that runs entirely inside your browser. The model paraphrases your text with varied sentence structure and natural phrasing to reduce AI detection signals.
How does AI detection work?
The Detect AI tab runs an on-device AI classifier to score how likely text is AI-generated (including modern models). Statistical signals such as sentence variety and signature phrases are shown as supporting detail. Your text never leaves the browser.
Does this bypass AI detectors like GPTZero or Turnitin?
The humanizer rewrites text to increase perplexity and burstiness — the two primary signals AI detectors measure. Results vary by detector and mode; Aggressive mode provides the most transformation.
Is my text sent to any server?
No. The humanizer and detector models download once to your browser cache and then run fully offline. Your text never leaves your device.
What are the three modes?
Light: minor rewording that preserves your original style. Medium: restructured sentences with varied length. Aggressive: full conversational rewrite with significant structural changes.
Why does the first run take longer?
Model files are downloaded and cached in your browser on first use. Subsequent runs load from cache in seconds.
